Wrexham v Portsmouth
Tuesday 24th February 2026 / 7:45pmLive at The Turf
End of February, Tuesday night, Portsmouth are turning up in Wrexham thinking midweek football is just a quieter version of Saturday. It isn’t. Pompey likes their game sharp and forward-thinking, quick counters, early crosses, and the kind of swagger that only works when nobody disrupts it. Last time these two met, back in early November, down at Fratton Park, it finished level, a night where neither side got what they wanted, but Wrexham left knowing there was more to take from it. Now it’s North Wales’ turn to host the sequel.
Their mascot, Nelson the Dog, won’t be making the trip, probably wise. Nothing says “serious football club” like a giant cartoon dog grinning at a packed stand. He’ll be back by the sea posing for photos while his team walks into a crowd that doesn’t do polite.
And that crowd gathers at The Turf. This one will be live on the telly, right where it belongs. Got a ticket? You arrive here and return here. No ticket? Still worth showing up, because atmosphere doesn’t shrink just because there’s a screen involved, it lives in voices, boots on pavement, and pints disappearing before you remember buying them. Pompey bring their rhythm, Wrexham bring the disruption, and The Turf is where Tuesday night finds its teeth.

Wrexham v Chelsea
Saturday 7th March 2026 / 5:45pmLive at The Turf – FA Cup
Saturday, 7th March. FA Cup, fifth round, under the lights. And Chelsea is coming to Wrexham, which feels like one of those sentences you double-check to make sure you read it right. A Premier League side turning up in North Wales for knockout football is exactly the sort of thing the FA Cup was invented for, and exactly the sort of thing the STŌK Cae Ras enjoys most.
Chelsea will arrive with expensive squads, big reputations, and the quiet assumption that this is all supposed to go a certain way. They like their football slick, polished, and rehearsed, the kind built for glossy highlights and calm finishes. Unfortunately for them, this isn’t a glossy night. It’s floodlights, noise, and a crowd that treats “favourites” as more of a suggestion than a rule. This is one of those evenings where form tables get ignored, expectations get rattled, and ninety minutes feel a lot longer when nothing’s going to plan. Chelsea bring the pedigree. Wrexham bring the occasion. The Cup, as always, brings the chaos.
And when it comes to living the day properly, The Turf is the nerve centre. Got a ticket? You start here, you end here, and you’ll analyse every moment like you were on the bench yourself. No ticket? Then this is your front-row seat. The match will be live on the tellies, the pints will be flowing, and the noise inside will do its best to rival the ground across the street. Big club. Big night. Big atmosphere.
If you’re anywhere else on Saturday, you’ve misunderstood the assignment.

Wrexham v Hull
Tuesday 10th March 2026 / 7:45pmLive at The Turf
Hull City are coming into Wrexham with a bit of swagger they earned back in December. That 2–0 at their place still sits there like an unread message. Hull play their football neat, quick, and annoyingly efficient, the kind that looks calm while quietly doing damage. It worked for them last time. Wrexham haven’t forgotten.
This time, the Tigers don’t get home comforts, polite applause, or an easy rhythm. They get floodlights, noise, and a crowd that remembers exactly how December felt. Hull will want control. Wrexham will want payback. Their mascot, Roary the Tiger, won’t be making the trip, which is probably a relief. Nothing kills a tough image faster than being represented by a giant smiling cat in boots. He’ll be back in Hull doing mascot things while his team finds out what real noise sounds like.
And that noise spills straight into The Turf. The match will be live on the telly, and trust us, it’ll sound better in here. Got a ticket? This is your launch pad and your post-match therapy. Not going to the ground? Then this is your seat, louder, warmer, and with better beer. Every tackle will get a reaction, every goal will shake the walls, and every decision will be reviewed by at least five self-appointed experts. The pitch is across town. The atmosphere is right here.
