Availability & Booking
What is required to book an event and is the date I want available?
Booking an event in one of our Wrexham venues is super easy! Just fill out the short form below, and someone from The Turf team will reach out to you to chat about availability and the next steps. Go ahead and fill out the form, and we’ll get back to you soon.
How far in advance do I need to book the event venue?
Booking well ahead of time is always best to secure your preferred date, as our calendar can fill up quickly. We generally recommend booking at least 4-6 weeks in advance.
Are The Pub and The Marquee both available for private hire?
The Marquee can be booked for private events, depending on availability. For The Pub, we can offer a designated area for your special event. However, please note that the pub will still be open to the public in the remaining areas blending your celebration with the lively pub atmosphere, so it won’t be entirely private.
Are both party venues available year round?
Great question! The Pub is available year-round for your events. The Marquee, on the other hand, is available from March through October.
Can I book the venues on Wrexham AFC home match days?
Unfortunately, our venues aren’t available on Wrexham AFC home match days. We’d love to help you find the perfect alternative date that suits your needs!
What is the capacity for the party venues?
Our event venues have the following capacities:
The Pub: Maximum number of guests is 150 (75 Seated)
The Marquee: Maximum number of guests is 250 (100 Seated)
Is there a minimum requirement?
Yes, we do have minimum requirements for our event venues:

The Marquee: Minimum of 50 guests
Do you have age restrictions?
At The Turf, we do not offer special events for individuals 18 years of age and under.
Cost & Payment
What is the cost of hiring the event venue?
At The Turf, we’re delighted to offer our event venue with no booking charges. We believe in ensuring your special occasions are memorable without additional costs. However, a £250 deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit serves as a safeguard in case the minimum requirements are not met. Let’s discuss further details once we connect.
Are there any additional fees (e.g., cleaning, security)?
Depending on the size and nature of your event, there may be additional fees, such as for security. If security is required based on the event details or number of attendees, we will discuss the associated fee once we receive your inquiry.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept both cash and card payments at The Turf for your convenience.
Food, Drink & Merchandise
What catering options are available?
It is possible that food from The Turf Butty Van could be arranged to feed your guests. Please let us know well in advance so we can finalize all the necessary details, including staffing. We want to ensure everything is perfectly arranged for your event! View our food options here.
Can we bring our own food or drinks, and are there any corkage fees?
You are welcome to have outside food catered for your event at The Turf. However, drinks must be purchased on site. Once we’ve received your initial inquiry, we’ll connect to work out the details.
Can I purchase “The Turf” merchandise as gifts for my guests?
Yes, absolutely! This is a very popular choice for hosts looking to treat their guests to something memorable. We offer a variety of merchandise such as pint glasses, coffee cups, t-shirts, and hats that make great gifts for your guests. To ensure we have everything ready for your event, please let us know in advance what items you’d like to purchase. We’ll make sure to have them stocked and ready for you and your guests to enjoy!

Is there a sound system available for music or speeches?
Yes, we have a sound system available for music or speeches in both The Pub and The Marquee.
Can we hire a DJ or band, and is there a stage or dance floor?
Yes, you can hire a DJ or band for your event. We also have a resident DJ whom we highly recommend, and we’d be happy to provide their contact information once we connect. While we don’t have traditional stages, we do have ample space for setup.
Are there any restrictions on noise levels or entertainment types?
Noise levels and entertainment types may have certain restrictions. We can provide detailed information and discuss your specific needs once we connect.
What other amenities (e.g., projectors, screens, Wi-Fi) are available?
We offer a projector screen and Wi-Fi in The Pub, as well as Wi-Fi and a 77-inch TV in The Marquee.
Decorations & Setup
Can we decorate, and are there any restrictions?
Absolutely! We welcome decorations to personalize your event. We do have some guidelines to ensure safety and venue integrity, such as no open flames or permanent fixtures. Let us know your plans, and we’ll work together to make your event memorable!
When can we start setting up for the event?
Once we connect we can work out the details with you. If you have specific timing needs, let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them!
Logistics & Accessibility
Will there be staff available during the event to assist with service?
Absolutely! We will have dedicated staff available throughout the event to assist with service and ensure everything runs smoothly. Your satisfaction is our priority, and our team is here to make your event experience seamless and enjoyable.
Are both event venues accessible for people with disabilities?
We prioritize inclusivity to ensure that all of our guests can comfortably enjoy their visit. The Pub is fully accessible for people with disabilities. The Marquee is also accessible, except for the toilets, for which guests can use the facilities within The Pub. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to assist.
Are there parking facilities available for guests?
Yes, we have parking facilities available with space for approximately 25 vehicles, although it operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
Where are the toilets located?
The Pub offers full toilet facilities. The Marquee provides unisex portaloo’s, and guests with disabilities are encouraged to use the accessible facilities inside the pub.
